Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first trial she took the sport, she finished second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting a new junior world record. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her races.
