Alison Doody
Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. She made her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donnevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody started modeling after being approached by an experienced photographer. This led to an enviable career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity in her modelling career. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody's name was included within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Doody was still only aged 18 at the time of her appearance in the Bond part. To date, she is the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in the 1987 version from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead part. It aired in 1988 with Dawn French, John Hurt along with Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking perhaps her most well-known role in her career in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody who was off acting for more than 10 years, came back in 2003 to take on a tiny role of her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene at an award ceremony. She played alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines and also appeared in a short film called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet that discussed the Holocaust and in the British TV show Waking the Dead (in a two-part series called. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Later, she guest-starred on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to appear in the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
